Amanda Platell still excuses the Tories.

She's been at it again,this time on Radio2 Jeremy Vine show,(hosted by Anita Rani this week)
As a apologist for milord Ashcroft, apparently everyone is jealous ,the politics of envy are back,will Gordon Brown be pleased. Naturally she would not go anywhere near answering the question,why should this tax exile be making laws in the UK.
If Labour or the other parties are fielding sugar daddies with an aversion to our taxes they too should be smoked out and dismissed.
The fact he promised to become compliant 10 years ago was irrelevant says Ms Platell, lets put it behind us and move on, the wonderbroom at the houses of parliament will do the rest, i.e nothing,sit in their hands and hope it goes away. And of course he hasn't done anything illegal, moral bankruptcy is nothing to politicians.And by the way, she asks, who is this Mandelson to criticise ,she's right there, the sooner he puts himself up for election or slinks off the better,what a desperate state it has become and every day becoming more polarised as all parties crave for that heady feeling power will give them.
